Rhythm Zoo hold the music close to their hearts and are rapidly gaining a solid reputation within the UK blues music scene. The band formed three years ago and has already played at some of the UK’s major blues festivals, including the Great British R & B Festival in Colne, Nantwich Jazz and Blues, Worthenbury Blues and Roots Festival, Wallingford Blues Festival (supporting Connie Lush) and Boogaloo Promotions Prestatyn Blues Festival.
As Rhythm Zoo’s reputation continues to grow, 2011 sees the band booked for many of the UK Blues Clubs and festivals around the UK.
Never bound by any one style, Rhythm Zoo can stretch out and do great traditional, Chicago and Delta blues, with a great blend of originals and standards. The band’s recently released new EP, features original material, including the tiltle track ‘Crazy Kitten Blues’
Rhythm Zoo in it’s current line up includes Andrea (Andi) Jones on lead vocals, Carl Smith on lead guitar, Dermot (Animal) Hall on drums and Dave Wilmore on bass and John Sanderson on sax.
