Rythym Zoo alive and in the groove Jbs stage Friday August 26th Limetree Arts and Music Festival 2011

Rhythm Zoo will hit you on every level. Driving rhythm, blistering guitar, sultry sax and the captivating vocals of Andrea (Andi) Jones.

Rhythm Zoo hold the music close to their hearts and are rapidly gaining a solid reputation within the UK blues music scene. The band formed three years ago and has already played at some of the UK’s major blues festivals, including the Great British R & B Festival in Colne, Nantwich Jazz and Blues, Worthenbury Blues and Roots Festival, Wallingford Blues Festival (supporting Connie Lush) and Boogaloo Promotions Prestatyn Blues Festival.

As Rhythm Zoo’s reputation continues to grow, 2011 sees the band booked for many of the UK Blues Clubs and festivals around the UK.

Never bound by any one style, Rhythm Zoo can stretch out and do great traditional, Chicago and Delta blues, with a great blend of originals and standards. The band’s recently released new EP, features original material, including the tiltle track ‘Crazy Kitten Blues’

Rhythm Zoo in it’s current line up includes Andrea (Andi) Jones on lead vocals, Carl Smith on lead guitar, Dermot (Animal) Hall on drums and Dave Wilmore on bass and John Sanderson on sax.

Here are just some of the things being said about Rhythm Zoo…

‘Blues that melts the heart.  Rhythm Zoo are a band destined to become big on the blues circuit’   True Blues Club, Earlstown

‘You and the guys know how to do it’  Connie Lush

‘Smooth, rich, soulful, jazzy blues. By now, my jaw has dropped so far I need reconstructive surgery..’ TFI Music

‘What a fantastic band Rhythm Zoo are. Really good musicians and an unusual mix of authentic Blues. The energy of the band lifted the crowd who were loving every minute of it and didn't want it to stop. ‘
Graham Scott (Nantwich Jazz and Blues Festival)

‘Andi sings with a purity that takes the best elements of Janis Joplin and Billie Holliday and rolls them seamlessly into a rich soulful blend’.
John Heath
